Historic Texas Courthouses

Among the Historic Texas buildings I love are old Texas Courthouses http://texascourthouses.com/ There is something so special about these old Texas icons. I bought a great book about all the Texas Historic Courthouses. One of my favorites is in Lockhart, Texas, a town where I have family history.

Historic Texas Churches

The Texas Historical Commission is housed in the Old Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Austin Texas just north of the Capital. Built from old bricks from the old State Capital that burned in the 1800’s, my mother and grandparents went to church there. They were kind enough to let me copy some of the archived materials of the church about my family.
